We started the trip to Mai Chau at. 7.00. It has rained all night and it rained too, as we drove from Hanoi. First stop is a silk factory in the outskirts of Hanoi. We saw the production. The focus was mainly on production. There was again purchased in well. You can buy many beautiful things. After an hour we drove on towards Mai Chau. In Hoa Binh city with the large power station, we drove west over the mountains. We were in Mai Chau at. 12.45 and was instructed where we were live. Then we had a nice lunch that Hoa and her husband had made. we did a little tour of the city, Mona was unlucky to step on a slippery place "unlucky". Cl. 15.00 started our first bike tour. There was a pleasant temperature and no sun. It was good weather for cycling. Now here at. 17.00 all sit and relax with beer and coffee. A good place to relax and no stress. Our home is located right next to rice paddies and mountains. Here lies the village good in itself. A good atmosphere hanging over the village. Dinner is at. 20.00. Then a little tour of the village and home to coffee and a little whiskey.

Breakfast pm. 7.00. Departure by bike at. 8.00. That is, Folmer, Annelise, Niels, Mona and Poul Erik took our car to school. We drove from Ban Lac pm. 8.00. We had bought good books to school and many pencils. Khoa had bought them in Hanoi. It was a little cycling team: Khoa, Annelise and me. It was a bit overcast, which fits well to cycling. We were received by the deputy headmaster and 5 other teachers who welcomed us. Were served apples, tea and water on læreværelseet. We attended classes in all grades with math, geography, history. The children sang for us. It was a pleasant morning. We went back to Hoa and her wonderful cooking. Now there's siesta and all sleeping. Cl. 14.00 runs we go again. It was a ride to the other side of the valley. Mona, Poul Erik stayed home. It was a little bike ride. Cl. 17.00 Hoa had been summoned, and children who had distributed clothes. We had a lot with this time. The plan was that we would eat at. 19.00 and watch Thai dances at. 20.00. Unfortunately, we had a serious accident. Mona fell on a cement staircase to the house and was badly injured. There was sent for a doctor who drove her to the nearest hospital. Niels, Khoa, Poul Erik and Hoa drove by. Hoa was driving a motorcycle. Cl. 20.00 Thai dancers came by appointment. We waited anxiously for what happened the hospital. We quickly agreed to take the first dance and eat afterwards. They were only back from the hospital at. 21.00. Mona and Niels got a room on ground floor. They were both somewhat shocked. Khoa will provide them a room in Hanoi when we go to Halong Bay on 27 / 9 It was a very shocking experience here at the end of the ride. We are excited how Mona has it in the morning. Anyone can fall and get hurt. This decline was particularly unfortunate.

Morning in Mai Chau. Mona had a little better this morning. She has gotten much pain medication. She has decided to bring to Halong Bay, Cat Ba without participating in activities. Now we need first to Cat Ba Monday 27 / 9. Now it should just go forward day by day. We tweaked the plan. We did not plant and visits Khoa we jumped also. We went out to eat lunch together. Mona did not get anything beyond 1 cola. It was probably not the real restaurant I had chosen. We rented all bikes except Niels, who rents tomorrow. Poul Erik, Annelise, Folmer Annelise J. and I went to Army Museum. We reached home before the rain came. Now relax all of. Dinner at Little Hanoi. It is easy and convenient and we get good food there. We ended the day with coffee and tea in my room.
