Sunday 23 March We were up early today to be ready to leave Hoi An at . 7:30 . At their parting was a couple of our friends showed up to wave , namely Sew - entrepenøren and Luu , as we have seen part of . Føtste stop on the trip from Hue was at Marble Mountain , which we had to climb. Henning had happily told that there had been an elevator, the purpose of avoiding the strenuous climb , but just today it was out of order , so we took it on foot up the many long steps. On the other hand , we could then rejoice in the view of the China Sea on the way up. The cave we visited when we were way up , it was very nice lit and large and beautiful . The downturn was also quite hard, the steps as I said was very long, but we all seemed well on the visit , and the weather is different today. The sun has not been encouraging , and it was probably 10 degrees colder than until now that we have remained well above the 30 After visiting the Marble Mountain we had over Hawanpasset . It was a trip with hairpin bends of hairpin turns and plenty of overtaking. We were also time to enjoy the view over the China Sea , but it became quite hazy, and when we did stop when we were way up , there came a cloud and laid down , so we could not look down - unfortunately. Vendors up there was tenacious , but without the big result. The downturn was going at a leisurely pace , since a lot of cars had gathered , and although there was overtaken lively , there was still a queue of cars. Also in Hue ' was to notice that the temperature had dropped . We felt when we visited after the accommodation Kong city and could walk around there without breaking a sweat , and several even had jackets on . There were bikes ordered to Henning , Tom, Birgit and me, and even though traffic is something closer here , then walking on the street in Hoi An, so we got along , back and forth to the palace . Gunver , Anette and Erik drove there in a taxi . We took good to walk around the area , so in the beginning a very informative film on the whole its construction . We are, however, too early to see many of the trees in bloom, but lush oggrønt are everywhere, and there were lots of tourists. One also sees restoration work started there. Back home had Anette and Erik plans to visit the big market , while we would relax before we go out to eat at . 20 tonight. For the dinner comes a young girl who is the daughter of those who sail the boat for us tomorrow and Henning know for many years.

One fine day in Hue and then by plane to Hanoi, where we have just been staying at our hotel in the middle of the city , and at. is 23:30. Cyclists took the bikes this morning and Anette , Erik and Gunver took a taxi . Our common destination was the Perfume River , where we had an appointment with a married couple - the parents of the young girl who took part in the dinner last night - on a boat trip on the Perfume River . With us on the boat was an extra woman with a selection of silk scarves and stuff , and she also got started in the business before she got off the boat when we landed the first time on the trip by a pagoda Thien Mu Pagoda. This pagoda is very well known - partly because the monks of the place has always had the reputation of having strong political opinions, and partly because one of them , it was during the Vietnam War , when in his car , drove to Saigon and burned himself to death in front of the presidential palace as a demonstration against the regime . It was a fine pagoda with many buildings and a large , beautiful gardens .

Back on the boat we went on for a very famous mausoleum - Minh Mang Mausoleum - it deserves its fame , for one is stressed, as is a walk through the large plant a pure balm for both body and soul . The buildings are arranged symmetrically from an axis through the middle of the facility and around there is a very beautiful park with canals and lots of big beautiful trees that unfortunately ednu were not in bloom.

Even further up the river we visited the newest mausoleum Khai Dinh Mausoleum , started in 1920 and completed in 1932 , 7 years after the king's death . This king was the second last king of Vietnam . The decoration is very nice , but the mausoleum looks like a castle. To go to this mausoleum we had to have our bikes hold , and the three taxafarere had to get hold of their own motorcycle taxi. After the visit, which was laid for lovely lunch on board our dragon boat , and then cycled Birgit , Tom Henning and I the 10km. home to Hue , while the others sailed home and was home no later than us . After a bath , there was the check-out and we went to a restaurant and took a drink , and then we ate before it was time to go to the airport . If we should have been on the train , which was supposed to , but there were no tickets to get , so we should have raised from time . 16 today to tomorrow morning at . 5 Instead, we flew an hour and is now housed and ready tl to go to bed - tired after a long day .
