Thursday, May 3 We will again leave of camellia hotel and drive to Ha Long Bay. In the Sao Do we visit a disability center, which employs people who are hit in the second generation of the U.S. orange poison. Here are hearing impaired and people who are missing arms or legs. Oanh, who is deaf, has received training in deaf language paid by Henning, and revisit the joy is great. We see the workroom where the girls are doing very fine art embroidery. In Ha Long city, we will board our boat and we get a nice lunch at sea. The boat docks at a very large and beautiful cave with stalactites and stalagmites. We go through and Khoa tells of cave. There is accommodation on board the fine cabins, and it is pure luxury. Best of all is the evening meal. There are covered up with white table cloth and cloth napkins adorned with (packed) Danish flags. The food is both very nice and decorated with flower-shaped carrot, potato, tomato and cucumber. There are seafood. Fried fish with vegetables cooked in a network of carrot. Squid in spicy sauce. Grilled tiger prawns served hanging on a hollowed-out pineapple with a tealight candle inside and the light is turned off when serving. The evening ends with a cup of iced coffee, and we get a good, restful sleep on the boat at anchor at night. Oanh works Disability Center Disability Center Friday, May 4 After overnight on the boat we sail directly to Cat Ba, where we get hotel rooms at the 10th floor overlooking the harbor. We spend the day exploring the town, taking in the market and a sailing trip in the harbor. We have also purchased some beads, which are sold at a little place where all gem stalls are assembled. There is not much, but we finish, however the day with yet another delicious meal at the restaurant Green Mango. Saturday, May 5 In the morning we sail through the fishing port, there are quite a small town built on pontoons. Here live the fishermen with their families and dogs. For each small house hears a fish farm, ie fences in the water for the fish, so there always comes completely fresh supplies to the restaurants. We sail out to a landing place and takes on a beautiful hike through the hilly landscape. After 7 km on foot we come back on the boat and sail out to eat a good lunch on board. Shortly after we attach to the Monkey Island, the only island in Ha Long Bay where there are monkeys. The show, unfortunately not today, but we bathe in the lovely warm water and enjoy life. In the evening a grilled catfish on a floating seafood restaurant. Halong Bay Eve meal Exciting decoration Fish with carrot rings Sunset as seen from the boat span> Video with Catba. Video with Halong Bay Monkey Island Resort Sunday, May 6 It is the day we say goodbye to Cat Ba and Vietnam. Our boat fails us, so we come up with a boatload of deaf Chinese tourists, who tells us a lot of deaf language. Fortunately, Khoa help us to interpret, and to photograph and display images can be easily done without words. In the Sao Do waits Oanh's mother with a nice lunch. She is a photographer, and Oanh's father is a farmer. He bred as different animals like pigs, porcupines and snakes, and it seems to make a good profit. While we eat, it becomes a terrific thunderstorm with heavy rain squall. This is the first rainy day for five weeks. The temperature drops significantly to 28 degrees, and it is refreshing with a bit of coolness! Late afternoon we return to Hanoi and say goodbye to our base through the recent past. Now the airport, Bangkok and home to Fyn again. There are many impressions, which must now be allowed to settle.
