Departure from the hotel at. 7:30 to Halong Bay and Cat Ba. We had a little jam in the disability center, where Oanh work in Sao Do. Oanh was happy to see us.

Dinner on the way to Cat Ba in boat
Image of Meg was almost finished. I get it on 13 / 5, when we visit her home for lunch. Unfortunately it started to rain, it was not so good. We were delayed in Halong Bay of thunderstorms and heavy rain. We were pleasantly surprised that our boat. There was the nicest boat I have sailed with and there was a small cozy salon at 10 to 12 people. It was covered up and again there was delicious food. So while it rained and thundered we ate a delicious dinner and shared a few bottles of white wine. Upon arrival to Cat Ba was the rain ceased. We also came to visit a large stalactite cave where Khoa told of Halong Bay and Cat Ba. We were staying at a Sun Flower Hotel. Dinner on a boat 200 feet from shore. Crabs and Cat fish and beer and vodka and good mood.

Tuesday, May 11
Departure from the hotel at. 8.30. We rode on motorcycles to our boat. We had rented it for one day. It was a little different than we had planned but relaxing. After we had arrived aboard the ship strained our three kayaks after. We sailed around. 1 hour. Jette, Gerda and Benno was very skeptical of it with three kayaks. Jette said that we had to summon the army's operational command to observe us. We were six sailing kayak. Benno, Khoa, Jette, Stone, Sy and me. It is not easy to get into the kayak and again but if you take it quietly goes it. It was a fantastic tour of some of the world's most beautiful surroundings, because it counted Halong Bay to be. On the boat had been promised a nice lunch for us. Now it was time to abeøen. Boats can almost go to the beach. A stone was brought us down to the beach. A bamboo stick acts as a handrail. With help from people on the boat reached us all down. We were are at. 13:00 and sailed from the island at first. 16:00. It was not always we see monkeys, but there were more up on the beach. We ate at Geen Manko, a western restaurant.

An extra day on Cat Ba which all had chosen to call stranddag. Sy, My and Khoa and Man and Minh Chau doing something else. After I had told on the beaches, we chose it as having the best beaches and the most expensive hotel. , I was there for dinner. There are three beaches that are connected with each other. There are paths built on the rocks and in some places there is steel structures. It was an interesting hike. When you are tired and want to go home you take a motorcycle and drive the approx. 2 km back to the hotel. It costs 50,000 to 10,000 VD is approx. 2-3 pounds. A real stranddag where nothing happens. Dinner at a new restaurant which was also good and we got many dishes food. We started with champagne. Last night in Vietnam. Now we had eaten Vietnamese and Cambodian food in 38 days and many longed Danish food. It is nice to try something new, but also nice again to eat Danish food. We had a Vietnamese lunch with Oanh.

Thursday, May 13
Departure day from Cat Ba, Vietnam. We drove from the hotel at. 7.30 to our boat. It was the same as we sailed out with. We were in Halong Bay at. 9:30 and went to a hotel where our car with. The driver was taken back to Hanoi. He had not judged the time right and was two hours late, which was very annoying. We had lunch with Oanh and could not cancel it. They had been cooking all day and got a nice meal, which unfortunately had to be interrupted by time and distress. An exciting nice home. We saw a happy Oanh and dad and his sister had made food. We were in Hanoi at. 15:30 and got a final bath and packed suitcases on the return journey. Departure to the airport. Kien Anh and Thuy and daughter were there to say goodbye. We also took leave of Sy and My, Khoa, Man, and Minh Chau. Thuy train to the airport where there was little root, where the booths were not yet set up. We checked into. The plane took off for Bangkok. There was a 3 hour layover in Bangkok.
