Wednesday, April 27 We started from Hanoi at. 7:00, the tour went to Mai Chau. There are 142 km run. We will be staying in a White Thai village of Hoa and Thu. On the outskirts of Hanoi, we visited a silk factory. We saw old loom controlled by punch cards that could weave various attractive patterns in silk. Almost a kind of brocade. Tissues were effective, but made a terrible noise. In connection with the museum there is a shop, and Elisabeth was given a black silk dress. The weather was a bit foggy and hazy. Along the way we stopped at a vejmarked and bought cooked corn a Muong family (Not to be confused with Mong Sapa). Promotion in the village of Ban Lac was Hoa and Thu ready with lunch. In the afternoon it cleared up, so it was a fine bike ride around the many small villages in the area. Everyone here is curious, smiling and friendly. After the bike ride, they found 2 Henninger somewhere with foot massage. It's something new here in the village. One of tissues made this drug. An intricate punch cards controlled tissues, which could make beautiful hernia noble end silk fabrics. When you ride in Mai Chau, you see all the time local start work in the field. Thursday, April 28 After breakfast we cycled to school, which is about 10 kilometers from where we live in Ban Lac. It's a tough trip for the uphill most of the way, and the temperature was about 35 degrees. It was great to see happy children and smiling teachers. We visited many different classes. I had many pictures with last year. It was the most happy. I have come to the school for 17 years. There are many new teachers and the school principal is the third. The trip home went quickly. Now it went down all the way. Henning D and I visited the local market. We looked for shoes. There many but all were small. I went to the hairdresser, while Henning took a rest. Back to the village again. We now pause pm. 16, where we cycled out - now a different route. Dinner at. 19 and then there was singing and dancing performances pm. 20. It is a new group of young people of 17-18 years. Hoas daughter was with. They did it well. We also went to dance. Koa had invited two sisters, Khoa, the driver and me "kareoke" in the city. We drove there in the electric car. We got a room to ourselves, Khoa controlled mixer and all sang along. There were two microphones. All the Vietnamese had tried it many times. Kareoke is very popular in Vietnam. It was late before we were home again. Visit the school It's hard to get the images sharp when danced in artificial lighting :-) |
