Thursday 9 July
Suddenly kl. 5:00 was the doors to the compartment opened and he said Hanoi. We arrived as the Camellia 4 kl. 5:30. We got hold of the night porter and we quickly got 2 rooms, the rest was only clear after kl. 9:00 earliest. Kl. 6:30, there was breakfast, just as exciting as breakfast in Hue, but it could be used, because it was there should be. After breakfast we spent waiting on a trip down to Hoa kiem lake, which lies only 200 m from the hotel. We could only get our bikes at. 9. Since we had been provided with bicycles, we cycled around the internal Hanoi to find stores with finished clothes or perhaps even customized clothing. We came to visit several stores and finally ended up in a shop where you could have made a complete suit of genuine Kashmir silk to only 1000 DKK Who can stand for such an offer?. Before we were finished, we had been given 3 warnings by the Vietnamese police for illegal bicycle! Lunch was taken at. 12:30 at Little Hanoi, a restaurant near the hotel. We can recommend the soup 6 (vegetables and meat) and Beef 6 (Sauted beef with pine apples). The afternoon was spent on a long bike ride around the big Sunday called Westlake (ie for Preben, Henning and Ole). The rest would rather walk around Hanoi and even guess why! Walking around the West Lake was more exciting than calculated for Ole point when we were ready for a good Hanoi Beer had come all the way to the west end of the lake. A nice Vietnamese lapped bike for 5 kr! Then it went into high speed through Hanoi's rash back to Water Theater of reach at the idea. 17:00. We reached it at the last minute. Tonight kl. 19:30 drove our taxi to a snake restaurant to eat snakes. We saw the snake crawling around on the floor, after which the snake master skar artery, so the blood would trickle down into a glass. Afterwards was bile trickle down into another glass. Both blood and bile were now trickle down snaps, so we all got 2 glass schnapps. There was also bisnaps, hose snaps, etc. The food was prepared by slangekød and tasted very good when you just forgot that it was the snakes, we eat! While there was a competition for who had the heart, Rasmus pinched it out of the hands of competitors. He felt that it took too long with the competition. We were probably at home by 10 hours so we could properly to bed at. 12 and was fresh again kl. 6:30 the next morning.

Friday 10 July

We had to leave the bicycle at. 8:00 to Ho Chi Minh Mausolæum. But before we went out we found out that this Friday was closed. We could then see Mausolæet outside, but just as exciting as the inside. We had probably not lived up to their standard terms pålædning. In order to be checked more than one airport, you could not shoot, and it would be honorable dressed. In addition to the long queues and long time, so with the tight program of short time available, and dubious as we had in terms of chastity, it was because a pure luck that it was closed. So we went instead to the old University and Literature Museum, as it says today. We saw a wide range of wisdom while turtles gifted with a legend about it. If you eat such a tortoise on his head, was Monday pilskaldens wisdom. Who am sped around ae all 40 turtles on your head - yes, we mention no names. Then we drove to the "Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum", it was really exciting with art from ancient times, hundreds of 16-17 century and modern art. There was clearly inspired by Van Gogh and others. Much of the modern art was inspired by the war against the French and Americans. Many art direction, and epochs were represented, so it was a good experience, and then there was the luckiest dog cold inside. We ate lunch at a street children's restaurant. In earlier times, has a French lady made a concept according to which street children were trained to work in and operate a restaurant. There are several places in Hanoi where the restaurant is run by former street children. We got back some nice food. We met even one of the instructors at the restaurant, she spoke excellent English and was also a pleasant acquaintance. Then we cycled back to the hotel and the afternoon was free. Some would meet at. 16:00 to reach down to try the clothes they ordered yesterday. Kl. 18:15, we went out to eat at a tagrestaurant near the hotel. It was a very special restaurant in the center of Hanoi, with a roof terrace on the 1st floor. They served good food again for no money ( "Chicken and Mushroom Soup" and "Fried Chicken with Mushroom and Pork" for 30 kroner and there are plenty of good food!) We met with Kien Anh and her daughter at 6 years and the sister Sunday at 8 years. We arranged to visit her and her factory on Monday. And at. 20:00 we were taken from the bus by Khoi from VKTour that Henning is working with. Kl. 21:10 took the train to Sa Pa with arrival the next morning at. 6:00.
