Wednesday 22 July

Breakfast kl. 7:00, bicycles kl. 8:00 and then off to new adventures. First was the trip to Ho Chi Minh's Mausolæum. We should only park bikes and then we were checked as in an airport. We could not shoot in Mausolæet, so we had to hand over cameras. Backpacks may we not have to, so it should also be returned. We should have long trousers ie. below the knees. There were actually not many when we arrived so we quickly went through. We could not stand still, but had to march past Uncle Ho passed without stopping. I just came to see Uncle Ho open the left eye to blink to Henning, I think that he knew him from the last 15 times he has been through. Since we do not have cameras to be currently not maintained. When we came out the sun had just been partially obscure kl. 8:30 to 8:35, an eclipse of the sun had gone across Asia from Japan to India. Then we visited Uncle Ho's private dwelling, which was still not so many. Then the one leg Pagode and finally Ho Chi Minh museum. Impressive impressive museum and now the tourists started to come, so we were many there. I saw to my great astonishment that Chinese tourists would rather shoot than Ole uncle uncle Ho. As has been seen with! Finally we visited the "Military History Museum", where we saw a film about the famous Battle of Dien Bien Phu in 1954 when the French failed. Otherwise, it was also a fascinating museum with many things from Vietnam's many attempts to defend itself against foreign occupying powers. So we cycled back home to get a good lunch at our restaurant Little Hanoi. Think we drove them out of Tiger and had to sit and bite into an Anchor at last! But never mind - the trip is still on, now would we sightseeing in Hanoi with Thuy and her nephew Hoan. We drove on a motorcycle and it took 35 min. Just driving the 10 km south-west to the magnificent new football stadium for 40,000 spectators, as they have just built southwest of Hanoi. We drove away in this massive traffic, and it looks really dangerous, but it is not really, because the Vietnamese are masters at merging in and out between each other. Traffic just slipping! Then we drove on a motorcycle to Thuy's colleague Tu, who lives in a large family house with wife, brother and father and mother. Here we got something to drink and some fruit. Thuy Tu and teaches at a "Vocational Training College, which is a kind of engineering school, and we were told that they are currently based entirely new rooms spread over 100,000 m ^ 2 In 2015 the count of 6000 students. Then the tour went to the Sun, which is Thuy's sister. Her house was built in 2007. The address was a little hard to find for our motorcycles man, for it was an address down a tiny alley. But here was a modern kitchen and 4 floors of the house and a roof terrace from which one could see Hanoi in all directions! There was a bathroom on each floor, but otherwise not much furniture. A space to post prayers for good health and good future for themselves and their was also, and rooms for children and parents separately. Thu had made fine food Hanoi Beer ream while Thuy was responsible for washing up. Thu else rather busy, she is a career woman! One of her colleagues were also working both on the "Vietnam Academy of Water Resources." During the display of the house, we had spotted some large bottles of liquid. In one there was at the bottom a large bird in the other some gecko. Homemade schnapps! Before we went we got a gift of Thu. The evening ended with us as garden pulling up the flag in front of Ho Chi Minh's Mausolæum was taken down and it takes place every evening at. 21:00. It will be hoisted at. 6:00 every morning, if anyone would be interested!

Thursday 23 July

We had the place at first. 9:00 so we could take it with calm today. We had to drive 90 km south to Thuy's parents-in-law who lives with Thuy's husband's younger brother hieu mother and younger brother. Thuy's husband says even Hin and military man. We were at first encouraging. 11:30, the roads became worse and worse in this province, called Hung Ha. Our goal was a small village called Dong. This is not a tourist area because there is not much to see, but when you look for, it's exciting. We took a trip to Dong and could walk around and greet people. More locations drove old-fashioned looms to full pressure. They told us we were the first tourists in Dong since the French left the site in 1954. -Laws live close to the city's Catholic church, which was built by the French in 1939 and renovated in 2002. But now it was too small and they're looking for sponsors to build it bigger. Kl. 12:00 rang the church bell for prayer to be asked for a good afternoon. The same happens at. And at 4:30. 18:30. We had a nice day with lunch in the modest house where they served the local h??ng Sen, which is brewed under license from Carlsberg. Kl. 15:00 we had to go home, for our program did not allow to stay there longer. We were at home. 17:30 and had just time for a shower and change clothes, because we were invited to Thuy's parents' house. Kl. 19:00 we drove with the taxi the 12 km and was at. 19:30. As we approached our roads were narrower and narrower and finally so narrow that the taxi could not drive anymore. We had to go the last paragraph (100 m). They live So modest. Here, Thuy and her husband Hin and Thuy's parents and brother Nam's Sunday We got back a nice lunch - amazing that they can cover up with delicacies and the indispensable beer, which this time came in large 5-liter cans. They are well aware of our habits! Suddenly the light went out, but they were accustomed to, so battery lanterns and battery fans were taken forward. The evening ended as always with lots of fruit and then we got gifts home. We were at home again. 22:00

Friday 24 July

We got up at. 6:00 and were ready for our bike ride at 8:30. Fine weather, very hot, but we are used to it. It is a wall of heat that flows to one when you go outside the door. Morning program was on a long bike ride in Hanoi - West Lake around. We were looking forward to a peaceful walk along the water, where only transient and cycling might move. But we were first out of the huge traffic of the particular cycle. Of course there are also many cars, but not compared to a European city. However, we found the rhythm of cycling fishing, found our seats in row, with additional major intersection close to where we are on the left, and where there are no traffic lights. But when we came to the lake north side is quiet, we went a mid Pagode on the north side of the lake. Quiet and peaceful, there were. Cozy and quiet in contrast to the severe traffic in the center of Hanoi. We visited a restaurant where we had a hose and Hanoi Beer schnapps. Suddenly came a company of Immigration Officers from Hanoi Airport over. We offer tubing snaps and they offered draft. Nice company! We had to re-home to a lunch at the Little Hanoi. We have seen Vietnam with both rich and poor people, but mostly poor. It has been exciting. They are not social welfare, as we have, but society is connected and people are happy and satisfied. Most Vietnamese are very active and work a lot. It is a community of happy and satisfied man. Friendly and welcoming. Thang factory drove us to the airport, en route he showed us another part of Hanoi, the rich part! We saw beautiful, modern bolliger along all the major portals of entry. Thuy took the bus to Hanoi airport to wave goodbye. Thuy Goodbye, Goodbye Vietnam - has been an exciting experience.
