We arrived in Da Nang as planned kl. 10:30 and drove directly to the hotel Hai Yen. Thuy was at the station to welcome us. The Scots also took 2 of the bus, so they now live at Hai Yen. It is an excellent hotel with swimming pool. Right to live an odd-job-man, which you can rent bikes in, get clothes washed, etc. So we rented 2 bicycles immediately to seek out all of our friends here in Hoi An. It proved to be very many, so we had a busy afternoon. First, to all our friends in the Booking Office, here we were offered lunch, which is always a very delicious lunch, ending with Lotus Tea. The owner is the contractor and has a lot of money, so we did just to get an agreement noon Sunday with them before we had to rush forward to silversmith Thao, for we had many orders from home to all manner of silver and it was actually cheap if we are to Pandora, silver chains, silver earrings, silver ... .... From silversmith to tailor Bui and have been targets of a suit or a shirt. So we had to go to the "bicycle man" who takes his bicycle taxi to the beach to the bath every morning at. 6:00 with Henning. Otherwise calm and peaceful there in the pool at night, so we sat and enjoyed there before we went up. Tomorrow we visit Luu and Hung with the children and Chau Huy (the same as was on the trip since Hue), it will be interesting to see how they live.

Saturday 18 July
Today Henning stood up before 6:00 in order to achieve its agreement with the "bicycle man" and at. 7:00 we were ready for breakfast. Kl. 8:00 we went out - first for hotel Hoi An, which was handed pictures of the girls at reception and take new pictures. The girls seemed to believe that it was very funny to be photographed in odd posture, or they were very polite. After the sessions we cycled further east to the beach and on to Victoria hotel where we were supplied with towels and could walk to the beach and pool. The weather was really good and we enjoyed 1 hour at the beach and 1 hour at the pool. A pair of Tiger, it was also - think they cost 20 kroner piece but then we also got the beach and pool for free. Actually, only for hotel guests, but the manager knows Henning Trang, allowing us anyway. In 2 hours we were allowed to enjoy the beach life look, but then no longer, as we have known as a tight program. On the way back from the beach, we passed a wedding / birthday and took pictures of fødselaren. Here we could have had a free lunch, unless it was because we have a tight program. We should be going to lunch at the restaurant Hennings stud Thanh Phuong and here we got Cau Lau and tomato soup with blended eggs - very tasty! Moreover the indispensable Tiger Beer. Strange coincidence that I walk around with a tiger on my hat, something many waiters have discovered. On the way back to the hotel, we took just indenom altmuligkonen to wash clothes for Henning had some laundry from the trip last for 2 months ago. So we went out to shop, including a great bag for all our things and we would have flowers for Luu because she gives dinner in the evening. Apropos purchasing skill you can negotiate prices down to 1 / 3 of the price. We went further to tailor to check whether the clothes were in order. We will therefore suit in Kashmir wool for 300 DKK and shirts in silk for 50 kroner here. This evening we were invited for dinner at Luu, it was again a good evening with a nice chat and good food. They had been kind enough to buy 2 Big Tiger because they have skuet our habits here in Vietnam. It was a nice evening with Mozart out of the loudspeaker, and they had even brewed a lemon rum with us. Good evening which ended with a Johnny Walker Black Label at the pool at the hotel. Tomorrow we go back kl. 9:00 to an island nearby and we have bicycles, and very tense.

Sunday 19 July
After breakfast came Ahn, Diem, Luu and Chau so we kl. 9:00 could ride down to the harbor, where we loaded bikes and ourselves on board a boat. We sailed out to some islands in the river delta here in Hoi An. The first we came to was Kim BONG Woodcarving, it was impressive to see the beautiful things in the wood, but we bought not so much that we had even more space in the trunk. The owners were moreover aunt and uncle. We cycled passed around the islands, several places such primitive bridges. Bamboo secured together by second-hand bicycle tire. The contested us, but we need to ride around without cars. We also visited a brickyard for Henning should have handed over some pictures and made a few new ones for next time. The trip took approx. 2 hours. At a time Diem was falling behind, but it was because she had found a place where they sold ice-cold sugar cane juice in small plastic bags with straws - and it did well because there was quite warm (maybe I mentioned it before?) Chao sat back of Anh's bicycle and then it just went derudaf and luckily we had with Anh as a guide, because you can easily get lost out there among the islands. The trip was again a great experience and we met all the way girls and boys who shouted "hello". Incredibly friendly people, we are among. So the trip was over and we loaded bikes and ourselves on board a boat and sailed back to Hoi An. When we landed we got glacial Lemon Green Tea and push-up ice (frozen moisture juice). We ate lunch again at Hennings herd restaurant Thanh Phuong and here we got again Cau Lau and tomato soup with blended eggs - the variability blame this time draft, we should not always be the same, it never tastes so good! Now I think maybe we had the afternoon free and was one of the eye? Nay - 1 hour after we were back on the road, we were on the motorcycle to An Bang beach with Diem and Anh. It was a nice trip, where we entered a beach restaurant, which Diem knew well. The owners are an Australian and a Canadian. We met another Australian there, namely Stevie who teaches English here. Well we had the home because we have an agreement with the noon Mister Sy (contractor), he is invited to at. 20:00. Lovely dinner with 3 starters + French red wine (Merlot), and Hot Pot with fish as a main course, and finally fruit + Lipton tea for dessert. Very well - so now we have something to live up to tomorrow when we have invited 25 Vietnamese to goodbye-party.

Monday 20 July
We started
days kl. 8:30 to ride around in Hoi An. We cycled out to both yard and then to a place where there was a wedding last year to deliver images. Unfortunately, married couples were not home, so neighbors were asked to provide the images on. We were widely and quickly became tired (= thirsty), so we took as a miracle to Hennings stud pub Hoi An, where we got some liquid inboard (= BIG Tiger). Well we could just ride to the next stop, which was Mao's house, where we besides Mao (friend of Mister Sy), greeted the daughter-in-law h??ng, which turned out to be a very nice girl and had 2 children, a girl of 11 months . and a boy of 6 years. She works in the restaurant at Golden Sands Resort and we immediately got a contract capable of April next year. They work 48 hours a week and have only 2-3 weeks of vacation. We were also out to view Mao's wife Dien's bakery for rispandekager, here, there were probably 12 hired to bake in a rear-end heat. After a few "333", we had combined forces to hold on to bale Well, when we had a lunch contract with Thao (silver lady). Here we met again a couple of Danes, so there must be a part of Hoi An when you look closely. Rice paper lunch was wrapped around the meat and all sorts of vegetables, followed by a couple of Biere Larue (imitation of Tiger). Kl. 20 met all of us with our Vietnamese friends, we should have party as Hay Yen Hotel - a fare-well party. It was a wonderful evening of music and song and one beer, and guests were at. 22:30. Incredible as musical Vietnamese, especially Mr. Sy's 4 sons. We went first to the other Ro around midnight. We had invited Sy, My, Anh, Nhan, Phuc, Tien, Mao, Dien, Luu, Hung, Huy, Chau, Thao, Phi, Mi Mi, Khoi, Tuyen, Diem, Trang, and Nam Moi.

Tuesday 21 July
We were not doing anything today because we would just hand over bicycles and just having directed a pair of trousers from Luu's sister. And so should we greet with all of our friends at the hotel and outside the hotel. Several had come to say goodbye, Thao (silver lady), Yen, Phuc, Luu, Chang and Diem. We should first go at. 11:00 so we had time for once. The train was running at. 12:18 from Da Nang, so we had 16-hour train journey ahead of us. We came in coupé with 2 thailændere who is on a 7-day tour in Vietnam. They showed us their pictures and we showed them our pictures. Kl. 4:30 arrived train to Hanoi, we quickly came by taxi to Camellia4 and we got our atamværelse which stood ready for us. We had read in the newspaper that Hanoi Monday received 13 cm rain in 3 hours with many floods, so we were a little tense, but the water was gone again.
