Breakfast at 7.00. Weather has recovered. There are now plenty of sun. Departure at 7.30 and the first stop is the power plant in Hoa Binh with a short stay. Now we see Khoas home. He lives in an old block of 3 floor and has a condominium. It is close to an organized neighborhood where there are 2 lakes. It is a good place for children. In the apartment we met Khoas wife called Man and daughter Minh Chau. Also there were Khoas in-law, Khoas sister and her boy. We ate lunch at a local restaurant and got Hot Pot, which is very popular in Vietnam. Khoa went to the hospital with his wife Man, as she must undergo surgery tomorrow and therefore they are not to our party. She will soon give birth so it may caesarean she must have been. Thuy coming to get us, because we have to eat with her tonight. We just got home from dinner with Thuy. Again a festive evening. We had many captured: Thuys parents, Thuys brother and wife, their two children, Thues 2 girls, Thuys dating and plenty of food. Again, very tired. We had taxi home, which is 15 km on the outskirts of Hanoi.

Sunday, September 23
It is Sunday. We have to party in the evening. Ruth and Tommy will enjoy themselves around the hotel. Knud Erik and I want to go to Etnology museum. We take the beautiful way around the west lake by bicycle. It's a little longer, but a very nice trip. The weather is perfect for cycling. Knud Erik was fresh for a bike ride, but did not know how long it was. He was amazed at the beautiful trip around the west lake. First stop is a pagoda and then there is Sunday there were many people. There was the street life and all had offerings with. It can be many things like schnapps, beer, cola incense sticks, play money and flag. Placing things on a tray and put it on the altar and pray for about 10 minutes and goes out. They sit down and rest for about ½ hour to 1 hour. If you have plenty of time downloading Mon tray and drink beer and schnapps or whatever has helped. Monopoly money and the flags is burned in a furnace, so that they can only be used once. If you do not have time take things home with you again. we went ahead and got a beer after water park and took many interesting people. We visited the Ethnic museum, where there was a group of young students who wanted to interview us. We went along to a restaurant at the museum and had a nice chat with them. Now I've got business cards that I shared out. We were singing Vietnamese songs and Danish songs. It was also: "There is a lovely country." We got the Vietnamese national anthem and Ho Chi Minh song. Knud Erik and I got a cup of soup on a good resturant. Now it is at rest before we have a party tonight. It was a grand party at a resturant down at Hoa Kiem Lake. We were 20 people. Lovely music and lovely food. Now we have packed for 3 days in Halong Bay.
