We were allowed to see the production and also bought a package of riskagerne. Then there was beer and soup at the restaurant Than An. We got a balcony room and enjoyed the shade and the view. Before we went home we could just reach Le Loy 41 - a business that shows the entire process fa larva of silk fabric. The 2 Henninger were both tempted by a nice shirt, so they measured up! It will be interesting to see the outcome. We must eat at Sy and My evening.

There was full press riskageproduktionen on Mao riskagefabrik. The woman is in the process of "grilling" riskagerne over charcoal. In 36 degree heat!

A photo of a photographer taking pictures of a 'selfie'. Thao, a portion deaf language, so she is very popular among the deaf children.

Our competent guide took us to the market and explained about all the ingredients of Vietnamese cuisine.

Delicious papaya salad

Thursday, April 14

Today visited the Village of Hope. Thao and Jesper was with the Vietnam tours. It was a lady from the office who followed us around as director was in a meeting. Unfortunately there were no lessons, because some children were on an outing. We saw the children's rooms and talked to the children who are not deaf. They are always happy to see us. There are currently 114 children at the school. Of these, only 24, who is deaf and taught in the school, the rest are from vulnerable homes. The children who are not deaf, enrolled in regular schools in Da Nang. We ate lunch with the children in the dining room. You can stay at school until they are 18 years and the school will help children to find work after finishing school. In the afternoon Thao us at any unusual the site, which had barely opened. It was run by some young people from Saigon. The interior was a mix of Japanese / Asian minimalism and relaxed western style. There were stepping stones in water and sling chairs in beach sand. We got delicious mango sorbet and exciting cold green tea. The guy from Saigon recommended a newly opened restaurant with river views. We had trouble finding it, but fortunately could Hung ask the locals. It was certainly worth the effort. The food was fantastic. And then there was the bargain cheap!

Thao started to "talk" to some deaf children.

There grilling! The teaching took place in the shade under the roof.

Along the way we passed several weddings.

Friday, April 15

Thao had ordered cooking class for us all four. We cycled down to their office. In addition to us consisted today's teams of 2 really cute Australians. We started with a trip to the market. Our guide was exceptionally competent and knew all the women, whose stalls we visited. The market is absolutely fantastic in Hoi An. We had gone through fruits, vegetables, spices, noodles, sweets, meat and fish. Then we took a boat out to the island in the delta, where the guide had grown up with his grandmother. The grandmother is now 91 years. Vo's grandmother believed it to be good at cooking was very important for a Vietnamese woman, so she could be a good wife and mother. Therefore, it had been important to the grandchild was good at cooking. The guide had only been 6 years in school, but had learned English (which she also spoke perfect) م when the grandmother moved to a smaller house, they had started making kitchen school in the old which was nice because it was newly built and financed by a sister's husband, who was French). The teaching of cooking was very well planned. For every right we got our ingredients brought on a tray, and then was explained what we needed, and so we started under expert guidance. We got spicy grilled pork, papaya salad, pancake stuffed and a dish with spicy tuna. Furthermore, there was pumpkin soup and dessert, so we were well fed. At last we sailed back to Hoi An, was handed a fine little cookbook with all the recipes. After cooking course we were down to pick up our clothes at the tailor. The evening meal we ate at Luu, who had made a nice dinner for us. Chau her daughter and cart stones were also there. We had a great time.

From the rooftop we could see down to street life. Here is a complete travel agency run around in bicycle taxi.

Saturday, April 16

Bike ride on the small islands. Anh led us around. This time we took the big new bridge instead of sailing as usual. The bridge leads over the Hoi An river. The view was fantastic from the top. The bridge means to ferry people become unemployed, but the greater availability will hopefully mean that more development on the islands, which today is the poorest area in Hoi An. The return journey to Hoi An took us about 2 new bridges. Along the way we saw peasants who work to dry rice. it was a wonderful bike ride. We continued to Ball Well restaurant where Silver Thao, as usual, gave lunch. Kl. 15 we visited the "guide" Thaos apartment / room. Jesper was also there. She served coffee, cocoa and homemade snacks. Kenneth and Jesper had given her a "coat of paint" as a birthday gift, so "apartment" was really pretty. There was the "bathroom" and hob, as Thao was really fond of his home. Most young people her age would have several in the space to be able to afford it. The evening meal we were in a good restaurant Hoa Hien we had found the other day. It looked even better in daylight. Hung ordered with good help for the nice staff a holy 6 course menu.

Vietnam Travels office in Hoi An. Henning and Thao take care of the practical things about our stay in the city.

Sunday, April 17

Walk on the beach. Thao had the day off, so we were 5 who cycled along to An Bang beach. We got us placed in a sitting in the shade. There were bathed and hygget. There is strong undertow, so those with new knees were very careful while the rest frolicking in the waves. 12:30 we got a delicious lunch, after which we cycled home. Thao known yet another fancy coffee place where coffee can be taken whilst enjoying a glorious view over the rooftops. The floor of the local town museum. We picked up our silver thing on the way back to the hotel. Kl. 16, we drove to Luu, where we were supposed to meet her 3 pm., As she teaches English. Elisabeth had borrowed Thaos guitar and taught the children to sin "I like the flowers." They were good at singing. In the evening I held my birthday party. It was a disappointment that only 24 of the 31 who had said they would be turned up, but once we started singing came anyway life in even the closet. The hotel had made a nice birthday cake with my name.

Grandmother of 91 who still helped in the household.

Monday, April 18

We had decided on a trip to Cham Island. We were picked up just over 8 in the morning. We met our guide at the pier. The weather forecast said it would blow up later, so we had to return earlier than usual. When we arrived it turned out that the participants who did not have to snorkel, having to sit in the boat and wait before they could get to the beach. It has not been previously. We chose to pay some people with motorcycles to drive us over to the beach immediately. The others would then come when they finished snorkeling. We came back and switched to swimsuits and went into the water. We could see that it blew up. Suddenly wizard hurrying to pick us up. Our boat had come specially to pick us up. We had to leave immediately in order not to risk "blowing inside." No time to change the wet swimsuits. We got collected our things, and so it went at full speed back to the mainland and the waves were high. The guide had arranged for a substitute lunch by the river in Hoi An with a free beer as compensation for the lunch we did not get on the island. We were told that some boats that had not come off in time, had to stay on the island overnight. After a bath we met "travel" Thao down town. She knew more exciting places. At first we were on the roof terrace and had great good coffee while we enjoyed the view of the picturesque roofs. Below, we could follow the street life. From there we went to a restaurant where the deaf and others with disabilities work. The decor was very pretty and porcelain was made in a factory, where it is also disabled working. I was recognized by a girl who had gone to school for the deaf "Village of Hope". Then I should just reach the tailor, bicycle payment, pick up laundry and payment of the hotel. In the evening we ate at the "Silk Thao". Her husband came and picked us up. Henning D. sat back and everybody cycled. There was (as usual) good food and we enjoyed ourselves. In the morning there is breakfast at. 6:15 and departure from the hotel at. 7th

It was important to listen, so we could find out how to make the delicious dishes

Were dried rice everywhere we came out on the island bike ride
