We arrived in Lao Cai at. 5 in the morning as planned. And it rained thankfully not. Was at the hotel at. 6:20, had breakfast at. 7.30 and started the great trek to Lao Chai and Ta Van pm. 9.00. There were many who followed us from the hotel, all black mong. The first 4 km we went on the road, then the terrain. The first piece is not that difficult, but after a little rest on a lawn, was the difficulty set up. 2 large canyons gave us difficulties. Unfortunately it is not cleared up this morning. It has rained all night. We samples to complete the trip in the difficult conditions. I've been here many times, but due to rain, the temperature is low this morning - only 15 degrees, but in the mountains the weather can change rapidly. We drove very early from Sapa. It was a little foggy in the morning, but it cleared up during the morning. We had a short stop at the Chinese point limit in Lac Cai. We arrived in Bac Ha at 10:00. Got a hotel room in common, where we had our clothes. Immediately went on the market. It is Vietnam's largest ethnic groups, not really very exciting. Here you can buy almost anything from dogs, chickens, pigs, water buffalo, riswhisky, for meat, vegetables and clothes. An incredibly exciting market. It took many pictures. We ate lunch near the market. Had an agreement with Khoa at 13:00, and then we walked a little up in the mountains, where Mr. Ho lives - a fiddler and great whiskey manufacturer of cornwhisky (maize - 58%) We bought almost all a bottle of whiskey. We had empty bottles. A very pretty walk through plum orchards. The trip takes an hour up, as another way back. We drove from Bac Ha at 16:00. Have eaten dinner at a restaurant near the train station. Now there are only a half hour to train. The same train as the upturn. An active and exciting trip to Sapa and Bac Ha. Unfortunately we are very early in Hanoi - at 4:30. We must then hope we can get rooms so early.
