Hanoi again/Tam Coc |
Friday, April 26 We drove from Camelia 4 at 7:00 in the morning. First trip Friday in northern Vietnam. We drove to a small fishing village: Kinga. We had 2 hours of sailing on the river around the fishing village. There are almost no tourists. We ate lunch there. As a novelty, we drove on the way from Kinga to Hoa Lu. past Vietnam's largest pagoda "Bai Dinh". It is very large and is in area the size of "Forbidden City" in Beijing in China. Here, more than 1,000 statues. It is also Vietnam's largest bell. Everything here is unusually large. It is situated on a mountain with 1000 degree of stairs. A great experience to experience, but also a little hard. We drove to Hoa Luu, who is Vietnam's first capital. Kong Le moved the capital to Hanoi in the year 1010 on October 10. Here was the name Thang Long. Emperor Minh Mang changed the name to Hanoi in 1820. We rented bikes in Hoa Luu and drove the 11 miles to Tam Coc. The landscape we drove through called Halong Bay on land. Dert is incredibly beautiful. We have been well accommodated at Tam Long. Everything is proceeding as planned, although we have been forced to change anything because of 2 new initiatives. Now we are going out to eat dinner at 19:30. Before we ate we got a cappuccino with cream on terrassen.hs broderr. The evening meal was perhaps not as tasty as we are used to, so we'll find another eatery in the morning. After dinner we had to taste the wine, which we got Kieu ANH brother Thang. A very fine wine to be enjoyed in small portions. khoa joined us with rum and cola. Kinga fishing village Kinga Knud. After breakfast we drove out to see Vietnam's largest church. Before we came to the one we had seen at least 10 churches. I saw the church last year. It is an impressive church. The new pope's picture was hung in the entrance. The style is not traditional for churches. It is inspired by the lies of Vietnam. There are many pagoda drawing. When we arrived on a Sunday, there were many visitors who sang beautiful songs in a little chanting style. It VATR good that we visited the church because they loved our visit. We ate lunch at Khoas mother, who had made many dishes of food. She is a good cook. Now we return to Hanoi, but first we stop at Huy. She and her husband should be with his family. Huy had made a nice Vietnamese dinner. Huys father would have liked that we drank some more of his bisnaps. It is very sweet, half vodkaog half bisnaps. At 19:00 we were back in Hanoi. Thuy came with some of my clothes. She invited us to dinner at his home May 1st. Another day where we were pretty tired. Tomorrow we Mai Chau.
